Grow Your Amazon Product with Zero Reviews

If you have zero reviews for your product who is actually going to buy it and if no one buys your product how are you going to get those reviews. This isn’t going to be easy. It’s an issue we all face when it comes to private labeling products and the chicken and egg dilemma for all Amazon sellers but there is hope. Today we’ll be using the ATRR method to determine the most effective way to generate daily sales for a new product how to obtain those initial reviews and grow your new Amazon product. All right let’s do this so let’s first start off with this ATRR method and let’s break down the a.

First Step is to Attract

The first step is to attract or attract customers to your listing. This is the foundation of building credibility with your customer base and setting yourself apart from your competition. Here are a few things that you can do. First make sure that your title is 100 to 200 characters long and includes the latest trending keywords for your Niche you can use jungle Scout or Google Trends to find these keywords.

I cannot stress this enough the title is the most important part when it comes to your Amazon search rank aside from reviews and daily volume of sales so make sure you spend some time on this. The second thing is that you need professional images these have to be images that do not come from your supplier and are strategically created to show off your Amazon product features.

Three at a total of five bullet points to your listing and make sure that each bullet point is less than two sentences long. Lastly add a plus or enhanced content to your listing if you’re branded or at a minimum make sure you add a product description elaborating on your product your brand and or some specifications. So that’s the easy part and honestly the starting place for any Amazon Seller who’s trying to sell a product with zero reviews and that’s because the listing is usually the one to blame for your struggles. Next step is the T or Target.

Target Your Competitors

We need to Target specific competitor listings in order to place our advertisement on. The idea here is to utilize your competitor’s success and leverage it to do this we are going to create a product targeting campaign. so let’s pretend that you are selling guitars in the most popular competitor of yours gives you an opportunity to place your product in their store for a small fee you accept this offer and place your guitar right next to one of the most popular ones which is selling for a hundred dollars.

The catch is that your guitar is priced at eighty dollars and it creates a buy-in incentive for any customer that walks by your guitar compared to the hundred dollar guitar that’s right next to it. So that is exactly what we’re going to do with your product and you know not this guitar. In order to do this you need to find five to ten of your top competitors that are selling nearly identical products as you and have hundreds of reviews. Then use Amazon pay-per-click advertising or PPC to create a product targeting campaign price your product 10 to 20 below all of your targets set your budget and begin advertising.

This should bring in a large volume of sales in the most efficient way for someone with zero reviews. Now keep in mind with this strategy that you may lose out on some of your profit because you’re lower in your sales price by nearly 10 to 20 percent. I typically do this with my first batch of products and then I raise my sales price to market levels once I obtain those initial reviews. so at this point we’ve optimized our listing and we’ve created a list of targets to advertise our product.

 Request

Next step request for this step we’re going to be asking our customers directly to leave a review and some other unique ways to request them to do that. The easiest way to ask a customer for a review is to go through Amazon’s order page and simply click request. This sends an automated email to the customer requesting them to leave feedback on your products and their purchase. You can only do this five to Thirty days after your product has been delivered to that customer so keep that in mind.

You can also use the jungle Scout Chrome extension and automatically ask each customer for a review instead of doing it manually one by one it honestly saves me a lot of time. The next thing you can do is request your friends to leave honest feedback. Now you cannot ask your family member or anyone that actually lives at your address that’s associated with your Amazon account because that violates Amazon’s Fair review policy. So make sure you you know call up a buddy of yours or a friend of yours ask them to go to your listing purchase it from you and to leave an honest review.

The last thing that you can do in this section is to place an insert card into each packaging this insert card can include things like thank you notes for your customer for that purchase and you can politely ask them for honest feedback you cannot ask them for five stars or a high rating so make sure you do not do that. Ask your supplier to do this for you and it’s usually very inexpensive and easy for them to do. All right the final R for the ATRR method and that is repeat

Repeat

Yes this is a continuous process and something that you should continuously apply to your Amazon listings in order to continuously improve them. So continue to optimize your listing as you see changes in the market conditions so you can attract more customers. Refine your product targeting campaigns to lower your advertising cost to sales or your a costs and always request reviews each and every week.

During this step make sure you keep an eye on your competitors and to check out what the customers are leaving in a negative review section on their page see what customers are complaining about. Fix that issue within your products and you’ll see more and better reviews start to pour in. Remember Superior product quality will always lead to Quality reviews.
